Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Christ will ALSO come in this fashion.
Lightening is under the control of God.
BUT, God does use evil ones or evil nations to punish his people.
A couple of judgments of his people:
We know that sometimes he uses angels to carry out his judgments.
Notice the description of these angels:
CHERIBIMS (angels - the living creatures in Ezekiel's vision)
Eze 1:13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
Eze 1:14 And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.
Who else is a Cheribim? Satan.
Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Luk 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Could the above verse of Matthew 24:7 be saying that just as the false christ would be seen of the whole world, so ALSO shall the whole world see the real Christ when he comes?
Anti-christ, as always, mimicking the true Savior.
