Pretty much sure now. They used my email account to retreive the password from my other account here.

Well, I am praying for the one who did, because they need to get right with God. That was just wrong wrong wrong! I just truly think it is so sad, but what else can you say.

What matters now is that we are back up and running and God is getting the Glory!

Interesting. Once they hacked in, what did they try to do? Sabotage the site?

Thats what I was wondering. Without giving away secrets like the media and loose lipped liberals do, how does one just gain access to a site and then cause havoc? Enquiring minds want to know.

They could use one of those password hacking programs, then once they are in it is "delete city!"

So perhaps if it was selective deleting and there we remnats left, then a message is in whatever was not deleted....... but I speculate greatly. LOL!

I am going to change my password though...... cause after the hack I couldn't log in at all.

Does that mean it could be narrowed down to someone who knows your e-mail address? Or could a stranger find that out if they just came to the site and didn't like it??

I would change the password weekly. At least I will for now on.

Why Would anyone want to hack a site in the first place?
Personal satifaction.!! That why hackers do what they do in the first place. Its all about can I do it. There were no particular threads deleted. Just mostly a hugh chunck of the database was pruned.

The hacker was having a problem though. The server if you noticed has been running very poorly. And was causing timeouts. When I logged in I saw my "Buddy" account was active and online for an hour. Lucky I was was able to go in and set the account to unregistered. When I turned the board off I was not abler to bring it back online.

I am still having some problems getting the site to come up and getting things to respond. Sometimes I wait a couple minutes for something to take effect and sometimes it just fails.

I tried to reply to this twice and it would not post. This one may not either. Good luck with the repairs. Looks like its harder to fix a website than a gokart. LOL At least you don't have fools out there sabotaging your gokarts.(I hope)

Not going to go there.

The server we are on is having issues. Not the site. I am working with the web hosters on this problem.

Well, today I was on my site reading a rude PM and my whole computer just shut off. I do not know what to make of that. Guess I should change my password there also....
