I read that the one that came out last year(and probably this one too) was all done by computer. That the guy that put the lights out put one strand at a time out then took the picture. So anyone that was looking at the house could actually turn on and off any set of lights he wanted to(on his computer that is). As far as going to that music, that was done by someone with a bit more time and talent to splice together the lighting sequences with the music.
