Dayton Hamvention
I will be mobile, headed for Dayton from Upstate SC at about 4:00am Thursday morning, I hope.
 I will be monitoring 60m Channel 4. Will also be on Channel 4 for the return trip Sunday. Stop by and give me a shout if you like. Is anyone else going to Dayton this year?

Not to worry Cal, there will be a lot of Daytons in your future I am sure, some of us have to hurry up and get to Mecca as we don't have nearly as many opportunities left.

No offense meant. The Hamvention in Dayton is THE worldwide hamfest. My statement was only to akin it to it being perceived as a mandatory pilgrimage that all radio amateurs must make at one time in their life to avoid being cast into the fiery abyss. Remember, this is the Amateur Activities section, not the debate section.
 *edit* - That combined with the fact that I am older than white dog poo meant that I had better hurry up and go.

Hey the once 'Shelby' hamfest ( http://www.shelbyhamfest.org/ ) is always a great one Crazy...... it has since moved to Dallas, NC and is handy to the interstate. Some of you flatlanders should team up and head up for a fun Saturday!
