Default "Christian Universalism"

‘Christian Universalism’ suggest that every soul God has ever created will someday escape hell and be reconciled to their Creator.

There are three ’heavens and earths’ mentioned in the scriptures.

1. The world that then was - 2 Peter 3:5-6

2Pe 3:5
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pe 3:6
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.

2. The heaven and the earth which are now - 1 Peter 3:7

2Pe 3:7
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

3. And the new heaven and earth to come - 2 Peter 3:13

2Pe 3:13
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Matthew 12:32 states that there is a sin that shall not be forgiven. The word "world" should have been translated "age"…

Mat 12:32
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man,
it shall be forgiven him:
but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit,
it shall not be forgiven him,
neither in this world, (Age)
neither in the world (Age) to come.

This age = 2 Peter 3:7

The age to come = 2 Peter 3:13

Strongs Definition of aion:

G165
aiōn
ahee-ohn'
From the same as G104; properly an age; by extension perpetuity (also past) by implication the world; specifically (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future): - age, course, eternal, (for) ever (-more), [n-]ever, (beginning of the, while the) world (began, without end). Compare G5550.

It’s kin word, from the Hebrew, is olam

H5769
‛ôlâm ‛ôlâm
o-lawm', o-lawm'
From H5956; properly concealed, that is, the vanishing point; generally time out of mind (past or future), that is, (practically) eternity; frequentative adverbially (especially with prepositional prefix) always: - always (-s), ancient (time), any more, continuance, eternal, (for, [n-]) ever (-lasting, -more, of old), lasting, long (time), (of) old (time), perpetual, at any time, (beginning of the) world (+ without end). Compare H5331, H5703.

Quote:
Bullinger’s Definition of aion:

The Greek word aion always includes a reference to life, filling a time or a space of time. Accordingly - the unbounded time, in which the history or life of the world is accomplished; and hence, the world as filling the un-measurable contents of immeasurable time.
That, in itself, should show that the ‘Christian Universalist’ are profoundly incorrect in their assertion that all will be saved, according to Matthew 12:32.

The new heavens and new earth stated in 2 Peter 3:13 is admittedly (by the Christian Universalist) the same new heaven and new earth that is written in Revelation 21:1 wherein they allege all sin is purged.

Rev 21:1
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;
and there was no more sea.

But Matthew 12:32 clearly states the possibility of a sin that is unforgivable, even in the new heaven and new earth to come, and thus the purging of this iniquity is impossible.

Mat 12:32
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man,
it shall be forgiven him:
but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit,
it shall not be forgiven him,
neither in this world, (Age)
neither in the world (Age) to come.

This age = 2 Peter 3:7

The age to come = 2 Peter 3:13

Judged by the Word...

Joh 12:48
He that rejecteth me,
and receiveth not my words,
hath one that judgeth him:
the word that I have spoken,
the same shall judge him in the last day.

Mat 12:36
But I say unto you,
That every idle word that men shall speak,
they shall give account thereof
in the day of judgment. .

Mat 12:37
For by thy words thou shalt be justified,
and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Jeremiah gives the same account;

Jer 23:36
And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more:
for every man's word shall be his burden;
for ye have perverted the words of the living God,
of the LORD of hosts our God.

Matthew 12:32 is enough to judge anyone who tries to promote that all will be saved.

Doctrine does matter.

2Pe 3:13
Nevertheless we,
according to his promise,
look for new heavens and a new earth,
wherein dwelleth righteousness.
2Pe 3:14
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things,
be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace,
without spot, and blameless.
2Pe 3:15
And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation;
even as our beloved brother Paul also
according to the wisdom given unto him
hath written unto you;
2Pe 3:16
As also in all his epistles,
speaking in them of these things;
(The heaven and the earth ages)
in which are some things hard to be understood,
which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest,
as they do also the other Scriptures,
unto their own destruction.
2Pe 3:17
Ye therefore, beloved,
seeing ye know these things before,
beware lest ye also,
being led away with the error of the wicked,
fall from your own steadfastness.

Consider the following…

1Co 15:32
If after the manner of men
I have fought with beasts at Ephesus,
what advantageth it me,
if the dead rise not?

let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we die.

In essence, the universalist that preach ALL will be saved in the end , are promoting to the unlearned "let us eat and drink, for in the end, all will be purged from sin anyway and live forever". They have literally perverted the Word of the living God.

1Jo 5:15
And if we know that He hear us,
whatsoever we ask,
we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
1Jo 5:16
If any man see his brother sin a sin
which is not unto death,
he shall ask,
and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death.
There is a sin unto death:
I do not say that He (Christ) shall pray for it.

The tares;

Mt*13:40
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire;
so shall it be in the end of this world.

What happens to them?

Mt*13:41
The Son of man shall send forth his angels,
and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend,
and them which do iniquity;

Just as in every city we have good people mixed with bad people, we have weeds mixed in with the wheat. They will be gathered together, (the weeds, the tares) all that cannot bear fruit, all that were against God's children.

Mt*13:42
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire:
there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

(same as--)

Mt*8:12
But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

WHO was cast into the fire? Who was cast OUT into darkness?

Re*19:20
And the beast was taken,
and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him,
with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast,
and them that worshipped his image.
These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Who shall be in the age to come?

Mt*13:43
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
