ISLAM

A little history about this cult.

First, let’s see what they say about Jesus.

Now, there are many versions of the Koran in English on the net. Some by orthodox Muslims, some by non-orthodox Muslims, and some by non-Muslims.
So I found one that has parallel versions (all 4 of which were translated by orthodox Muslims).
Pickthall
Yusuf Ali
Hilali-Khan
Shakir

So, I'm gonna list all 4 for each verse so that no one can say we are looking for a translation to say what we want it to say.

Here’s the link for anyone to use:
http://www.quranbrowser.com/

Quote:

Quran 4:157
Pickthall
And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.

Yusuf Ali
That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Apostle of God"; - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

Hilali-Khan
And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of 'Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) ]:

Shakir
And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the apostle of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure.

His death on the cross didn’t happen according to the Koran.
Not only did Jesus not die on the cross …. He wasn’t even on the cross!!!!

Long story short, they believe Jesus died an old man.

What does Islam think of the divinity of Jesus?

Quote:
Quran 5:72-73

Pickthall
5:72
They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers.
5:73
They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve.

Yusuf Ali
5:72
They do blaspheme who say: "God is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship God, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with God, - God will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.
5:73
They do blaspheme who say: God is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One God. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.

Hilali-Khan
5:72
Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allah is the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)." But the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers) there are no helpers.
5:73
Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them.

Shakir
5:72
Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah, He is the Messiah, son of Marium; and the Messiah said: O Children of Israel! serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Surely whoever associates (others) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden to him the garden, and his abode is the fire; and there shall be no helpers for the unjust.
5:73
Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah is the third (person) of the three; and there is no god but the one God, and if they desist not from what they say, a painful chastisement shall befall those among them who disbelieve.
There is no trinity.
Jesus is not God.
Those who say that there is a trinity and that Jesus is God, are blasphemers and hell bound.

Quote:
Quran 9:30
Pickthall
And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they!

Yusuf Ali
The Jews call 'Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the son of God. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. God's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

Hilali-Khan
And the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouths. They imitate the saying of the disbelievers of old. Allah's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!

Shakir
And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!
Jesus is not the Son of God!

I point these out for one reason.
To see if Islam has the spirit of antichrist per scripture.

The answer is yes.

1 John 2
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

1 John 4
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

John 1: 1 & 14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Luke 1
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

So, we have established that Islam has the spirit of antichrist.
Gotta have the spirit of antichrist in order to be THE Antichrist (the title we give the beast of Revelation).

So, Islam is a candidate.
But we are told of certain characteristics of THE Antichrist.
Does Islam match?

Default Diverse from the others

The fourth beast of Daniel.

Daniel 7
7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Most scholars agree that this 4th is connected with the beast of Revelation.
Having ten horns is an identifier.

So, what is it that makes this 4th beast diverse from the others?
Several explanations have been offered over the years.
But for this study, let’s consider that what makes this beast diverse from the others is that it is of a spiritual/religious nature. (Do not take this as fact, but just consider the possibility as we have to do with all other theories. And this study is just a theory to consider.)

After all, we are told to put on the whole armor of God. The battle armor we wear is of a spiritual nature.
We are called a nation of God, a spiritual nation with no physical boundaries, and cannot be pointed to on a map.
So, the nation we battle against must be spiritual also.

Islam is a spiritual nation that cannot be pointed to on a map.
Islam has the spirit of antichrist.

Default Jihad

THE BATTLE CRY

JIHAD

Historian Bernard Lewis defines the term as follows:
Quote:
The term so translated is jihad, an Arabic word with the literal meaning of “effort,” “striving,” or “struggle.” In the Qur’an and still more in the Traditions, commonly though not invariably followed by the words “in the path of God,” it has usually been understood as meaning “to wage war.” The great collections of hadith (Islam traditions) all contain a section devoted to jihad, in which the military meaning predominates. . . According to Muslim teaching, jihad is one of the basic commandments of the faith, an obligation of the Muslim community as a whole; in a defensive war, it becomes a personal obligation of every adult male Muslim. In such a situation, the Muslim ruler might issue a general call to arms. The basis of the obligation of jihad is the universality of the Muslim revelation. God’s word and God’s message are for all mankind; it is the duty of those who have accepted them to strive unceasingly to convert or at least to subjugate those who have not. This obligation is without limit of time or space. It must continue until the whole world has either accepted the Islamic faith or submitted to the power of the Islamic state.”
Make no mistake, folks. This is the goal of Islam, that the entire population of the world submit to it.
The entire population.
So, even if you have a few Muslims who do not adhere to this, they too will fall prey to the same wrath if they do not agree to submit and take up the cause. They must be a “full” Muslim and adhere to the “full” duty of their god Allah. Otherwise, they will be considered an apostate, just as any other person who does not fully submit.

(Similar to the Catholic Church crusades - submit or suffer the consequence.)

Quote:
Quran 4:76
Pickthall
Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of idols. So fight the minions of the devil. Lo! the devil's strategy is ever weak.

Yusuf Ali
Those who believe fight in the cause of God, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan.

Hilali-Khan
Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Taghut (Satan, etc.). So fight you against the friends of Shaitan (Satan); Ever feeble indeed is the plot of Shaitan (Satan).

Shakir
Those who believe fight in the way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the Shaitan. Fight therefore against the friends of the Shaitan; surely the strategy of the Shaitan is weak.

Quote:
Quran 9:5-6
Pickthall
Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
And if anyone of the idolaters seeketh thy protection (O Muhammad), then protect him so that he may hear the Word of Allah, and afterward convey him to his place of safety. That is because they are a folk who know not.

Yusuf Ali
But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
If one amongst the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of God; and then escort him to where he can be secure. That is because they are men without knowledge.

Hilali-Khan
Then when the Sacred Months (the Ist, 7th, 11th, and 12th months of the Islamic calendar) have passed, then kill the Mushrikun (see V.2:105) wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and prepare for them each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, then leave their way free. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
And if anyone of the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) seeks your protection then grant him protection, so that he may hear the Word of Allah (the Qur'an), and then escort him to where he can be secure, that is because they are men who know not.

Shakir
So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
And if one of the idolaters seek protection from you, grant him protection till he hears the word of Allah, then make him attain his place of safety; this is because they are a people who do not know.
It will not be nation against nation, it will be faith against faith.

Those who stand firm in their faith will receive the reward of their god.

Which god do you want your reward from? Allah or YHWH?
We must stand firm, despite any persecution, to oppose faith in any other god.

Who does the beast battle against?

Daniel 7
21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

Revelation 13
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

So, we have a spiritual nation that has the spirit of antichrist and makes war with the saints.

Islam is a candidate.
But can Islam match the other characterists of the beast?

Default Ten Horns

TEN HORNS

In Islam, when Mohammed died, 10 successors were chosen.
These were called “calipfs”, which means “successor”.

(Another similarity to the Catholic Church – chose a successor to be leader of the spiritual kingdom.
All cults have a physical leader who they feel has some sort of “closer” relationship than anyone else to their god.)

While we can probably find “10” in any theory, there is something specific that occurs with the “10” horns of the beast.

A horn will rise among the 10, and pluck up the first 3 horns.

Daniel 7
8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Here’s the story of the 10 caliphs (successors) of Mohammed (founder of the Islamic faith).
These caliphs are also called “Imans” by many Muslims. Iman means belief.
They are also referred to as “the Ten Blessed Companions”.

1) Abu Bakr
2) Omar
3) `Uthman
4) Ali
5) Talha
6) al-Zubair
7) Saad bin Abi Waqqass
8) Saeed bin Zaid
9) Abdulrahman bin `Awf and
10) Abu `Ubaida binal-Jarrah

Of the 10 caliphs (or Imans), the first 3 were not related to Mohammed. All others were.
When the 4th of the 10 caliphs (or Iman) came, he declared that only a blood relation to Mohammed could rightly be a caliph (or Iman). Therefore, he declared that the first 3 caliphs were invalid. And all other caliph after that were related.

So, we have one who came up among the 10 and deposed the first 3.

This caused a division among the faithful.
And this spiritual kingdom was divided into 2 sects of Islam – the Sunni and the Shia.
Shia (or Shi'ite) derives from a shortening of Shiat Ali or partisans of Ali (party of Ali).

The Battle of Karbala was the defining line that the split was complete – Sunni and Shia, and a united Islam has not existed to this day.

So we have 2 sects of Islam, the Sunni who believe that the first 3 caliphs are legit, and the Shia who believe that the first 3 caliphs are not legit.
But both are loyal to Mohammed, the Quran, and Allah.

The Muslim world is dominantly Sunni. Shias comprise about 16-percent of the Muslim population. (One sect stronger/dominate than the other smaller/weaker sect.)

(Yet another similarity to the Catholic Church – division because of who the rightful leader should be which resulted in the split between the Western Roman Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church.)

Which brings us to another characteristic of the beast – it was divided with a stronger and weaker.

Daniel 2
40 And the fourth kingdom (called 4th beast in Daniel 7) shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Now, this has been the cause of many conflicts between the Muslims.
Neither the Sunni or the Shia sects believe the other to be in full submission to Allah.

One characteristic of the difference is that the Sunni are more political in nature, and the Shia are more of a spiritual nature.
The Shia are appauled that a Sunni would even consider cooperation or alliance with anyone outside of the Islamic religion. (This is not to say that all Sunnis would consider doing this.)

As far as territory, Affganistan would problaby be more Shia, and Saudi Arabia (along with most other Muslim territory) more Sunni.

So, one thing that should be asked of any Muslim you are having a discussion with, would be it they consider themselves Sunni or Shia.

When it comes to a discussion between a Shia Muslim and a Sunni Muslim, think Hatfield & McCoy! They are rivals.

Default Dome Of The Rock

Know what the picture at the bottom is?

It’s the Dome of Rock in Jerusalem.
Pretty, isn’t it?

Wanna know what’s in it? Nothing.
Wanna know what it’s used for? Nothing.

It has no altar or furniture inside.
It is not a church or temple used for any type of worship.
Just an empty building that no one uses.

It is a structure that was built over the ruins of the Jewish Temple Mount in the 7th century by the second caliph who then had complete control of Jerusalem.

The Jewish Temple Mount had several levels, each was built up higher than the other. Court of the Gentiles was the lowest level.
The highest level had the foundation stone for the Temple’s Holy of Holies room where the ark was kept.

Dome of the Rock was built over the highest level. Pretty tile floors were laid, except where the foundation stone was, and it was left exposed.

The second photo is a photo taken in the 19th century of the inside.

Quote:
The Mishnah (Jewish Book of Collections of Rabbinical Teachings - Yoma 5.2, page 167) refers to this Rock platform as the “Foundation Stone.”
It is the specific stone upon which the Ark of the Covenant was secured, that location where God Himself dwelt.
It is the holiest of all locations because it was God’s dwelling place.
It is also the rock over which the Dome of the Rock covers.

Tradition of the Muslims is that Mohammed was in Meca, asleep.
The angel Gabriel came to him and they took a trip to Jerusalem to the place the Dome of the Rock is built. Of course Gabriel had wings to fly, but Mohammed didn’t. So Mohammed gets to ride a winged horse to Jerusalem. He met several of the old biblical prophet’s there (one of whom was Jesus), and Mohammed LED THEM in prayer because HE was the greatest prophet of all.
A ladder appeared there that went into heaven. It had 7 steps.
On the first step, he encountered Adam. They talked a bit, and he continued to the second step where he encountered Jesus. They talked a bit, and he continued.
He makes all the way up and gets to meet Allah.

Some Muslims insist this trip only happened in his dreams, while others like to insist that this mystical trip physically happened.

Anyway, you can google and get all the stories about it if you want.
I just wanted to point this out:

Quote:
Muhammad's extraordinary journey to heaven started in the Ka'bah in Mecca, where he was sleeping. The archangel Gabriel woke him up and led him outside to Buraq, a white horse (the name means 'white horse') equipped with huge wings.

Revelation 6
2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

As I said earlier, the Dome of the Rock isn’t really used for anything. It just sits there empty, no furniture or anything. Just surrounding the most Holy Jewish place on earth.
What's the point of it?
Well, one explanation could be that there is Islamic inscriptions all over the structure.
Inscriptions that proclaim to the world (especially those dumb Christians) that Allah is God, and Jesus isn’t. Jesus was just a plain ol' man, servant and prophet of Allah.

Here’s a couple examples of inscriptions:

Quote:
In the name of Allah, the Merciful the Compassionate. There is no god but Allah. He is One. He has no associate. Unto Him belongeth sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise. He quickeneth and He giveth death; and He has Power over all things. Muhammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger.
Lo! Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! Ask blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation. The blessing of Allah be on him and peace be on him, and may Allah have mercy. O People of the Book! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning
Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a Messenger of Allah, and His Word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not 'Three' - Cease! (it is) better for you! - Allah is only One God. Far be it removed from His
transcendent majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender. The Messiah will never scorn to be a servant unto Allah, nor will the favored angels. Whoso scorneth His service and is proud, all such will He assemble unto Him.
Oh Allah, bless Your Messenger and Your servant Jesus son of Mary. Peace be on him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he shall be raised alive! Such was Jesus, son of Mary, (this is) a statement of the truth concerning which they doubt. It befitteth not (the Majesty of) Allah that He shouldtake unto Himself a son. Glory be to Him! When He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is.
Lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So serve Him. That is the right path. Allah (Himself) is witness that there is no God save Him. And the angels and the men of learning (too are witness). Maintaining His creation in justice, there is no God save Him, the Almighty, the Wise. Lo! religion with Allah (is) Islam.
Those who (formerly) received the Book differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of Allah (will find that) lo! Allah is swift at reckoning!

In the name of Allah, the Merciful the Compassionate. There is no god but Allah. He is One. He has no associate. Say: He is God, the One! God, the eternally Besought of all! He begetteth not nor was begotten. And there is none comparable unto Him. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the blessing
of Allah be on him. In the name of Allah, the Merciful the Compassionate. There is no god but Allah. He is One. He has no associate. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Lo! Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! Ask blessings on him and salute him with a worthy
salutation. In the name of Allah, the Merciful the Compassionate. There is no god but Allah. He is One. Praise be to Allah, Who hath not taken unto Himself a son, and Who hath no partner in the Sovereignty, nor hath He any protecting friend through dependence. And magnify Him with all magnificence. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the blessing of Allah be on him and the angels and His prophets, and peace be on him, and may Allah have mercy. In the name of Allah, the Merciful the Compassionate. There is no god but Allah. He is One. He has no associate. Unto Him belongeth sovereignty and unto Him belongeth praise. He quickeneth. And He giveth death; and He has Power over all things. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the blessing of Allah be on him. May He accept
his intercession on the Day of Judgment on behalf of his people. In the name of Allah, the Merciful the Compassionate. There is no god but Allah. He is One He has no associate. Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the blessing of Allah be on him. The dome was built by the servant of Allah `Abd [Allah the Imam al-Ma'mun, Commander] of the Faithful, in the year two and seventy. May Allah accept from him and be content with him. Amen, Lord of the worlds, praise be to Allah.

Default Ark

After talking about the Dome of the Rock, the structure built to honor another god, just sitting there waiting, which has the foundation stone where the Ark of the Covenant stood in the Jewish Temple’s Holy of Holies ……

Pay special attention to #18 from this website:

http://answering-islam.org.uk/Authors/JR/Future/ch04_the_mahdi.htm

Quote:
Summary

After reviewing the various Islamic traditions and opinions of the Muslim scholars, let’s now review and walk through a list of what we have learned about the person and the mission of the Mahdi as he exists in the minds of many of the 1.3 billion Muslims worldwide.
  1. The Mahdi is Islam’s primary messiah figure.
  2. He will be a descendant of Muhammad and will bear Muhammad’s name (Muhammad bin Abdullah).
  3. He will be a very devout Muslim.
  4. He will be an unparalleled spiritual, political and military world leader.
  5. He will emerge after a period of great turmoil and suffering upon the earth.
  6. He will establish justice and righteousness throughout the world and eradicate tyranny and oppression.
  7. He will be the Caliph and Imam (vice-regent and leader) of Muslims worldwide
  8. He will lead a world revolution and establish a new world order.
  9. He will lead military action against all those who oppose him.
  10. He will invade many countries.
  11. He will make a seven year peace treaty with a Jew of priestly lineage.
  12. He will conquer Israel for Islam and lead the “faithful Muslims” in a final slaughter/battle against Jews.
  13. He will establish the new Islamic world headquarters from Jerusalem.
  14. He will rule for seven years (possibly as much as eight or nine).
  15. He will cause Islam to be the only religion practiced on the earth.
  16. He will appear riding a white horse (possibly symbolic).
  17. He will discover some previously undiscovered biblical manuscripts that he will use to argue with the Jews and cause some Jews to convert to Islam.
  18. He will also re-discover the Ark of the Covenant from the Sea of Galilee, which he will bring to Jerusalem.
  19. He will have supernatural power from Allah over the wind and the rain and crops.
  20. He will posses and distribute enormous amounts of wealth.
  21. He will be loved by all the people of the earth.
Here is what is said about it earlier in the website:

Quote:
Al-Mahdi the Miraculous Archaeologist
Quote:

In one final very interesting series of traditions regarding the Mahdi we find that he is said to produce some previously undiscovered Bible scrolls and even the Ark of the Covenant:

Ka’b al-Ahbar says, “He will be called ‘Mahdi” because he will guide (yahdi) to something hidden and will bring out the Torah and Gospel from a town called Antioch.” 35

As-Suyuti mentioned in al-Hawi that the messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “he is called the Mahdi because he will guide the people to a mountain in Syria from which he will bring out the volumes of the Torah to refute the Jews. At the hands of the Mahdi the Ark of the Covenant will be brought forth from the Lake of Tiberias and taken and placed in Jerusalem.” 36

Ad-Dani said that he is called the Mahdi because he will be guided to a mountain in Syria from which he will bring forth the volumes of the Torah with which to argue against the Jews and at his hands a group of them will become Muslim. 37

Apparently, the purpose of finding these “lost” portions of the Old and New Testaments as well as the Ark of the Covenant is to help the Mahdi win converts from both Christianity and Judaism prior to “eradicating” the remainder who do not convert to Islam. We will discuss this aspect of Islamic tradition further in later chapters.

Default Fatima & Mary

FATIMA & MARY

According to the Islam faith, Fatima is the name of the wife of Ishmael (Abraham’s 1st son by the slave girl, Hagar).
The Arab people are descendants of Ishmael & Fatima.

Mohammed also named his daughter Fatima.

The city of Fatima in Portugal was named so by Muslims.

So, here comes the connection between Catholics and Muslims ….. the Mary apparitions.

The Marian apparition that occurred at Fatima, Portugal has been officially approved by the Catholic Church.
The message of Our Lady of Fatima was to unite all religions into one.
(Remember, Catholics believe that Muslims worship the same God as they do. They just disagree on details, the main one being the attributes of JESUS.)

But they BOTH highly revere Mary.
Mohammed was even recorded as saying that Mary would be one of this wives in Paradise.
Muslims flock to the Marian apparitions, just like Catholics.

Quote:
When a priest of the Catholic church comes by to bless a Muslim, the Muslim will kiss the rosary if the priest will pull the cross off. To Islam, the cross is the hindrance, but they will kiss the virgin Mary if the cross is taken off the prayer beads.
Remember, Muslims do not believe Jesus was crucified.

So, Muslims have no problem kissing the rosary (which represents Mary) as long as a cross is not attached to the rosary beads.
Muslims have prayer beads as well, so prayer beads are no problem to them.

Now, here’s something interesting about Fatima.
The Mary apparition at Fatima gave 3 secrets. Two have been told, but the 3rd one was to be kept secret until a time in the future. The Pope and the bishop of Fatima were allowed to know the secrets, and reveal them at specified times.
The 3rd has yet to be revealed. However, the Bishop of Fatima said the following about it:

Quote:
"We must return to the Rosary and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for Mary is the last anchor of salvation for a world gone wrong"

Mohammed also gave a secret to his daughter, Fatima, that is supposed to be revealed in the last days.

Quote:
A former Muslim from Persia wrote a book and said that as Muhammed was dying, he whispered a secret to Fatima, and that secret is to be revealed at the end of days

Islam believes in 12 Imans.
All the 12 Imans must be descendants of FATIMA (daughter of Mohammed).
FATIMA was married to Ali.
We talked about Ali earlier. He was one of the 10 Caliphs who deposed the first 3 Caliphs as invalid because they were not related to Mohammed. (I compared this with the 10 horned beast. One of the horns arose among the 10 and uprooted the first 3 horns.)

So, we have 12 Imans (all descendants through Ali & FATIMA).

The 12th Iman would be Al-Mahdi (who is to appear in the last days to unite the world under Allah).

So, you have Ali & Fatima ( father & mother).
You have their 12 children (descendants), one of which will be greater than the other 11.
(Read the bolded part again before you go on.)

Do you see a parallel with the following:

Genesis 37
9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.
10 And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

Notice the symbols of the dream – sun (father), moon (mother), and stars (sons).
Joseph, one of the 12 sons, has a dream that he will become greater than his father, mother, and the rest of the twelve brothers.

How did Mary appear in many of her apparitions:

Revelation 12

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

Of course, everything pointed out in this thread could just be a coincidence.

Default Cathocil - Islam connection

Quote:
Moslem writers say, "When the locust swarms darken vast countries, they bear on their wings these Arabic words: 'We are God's host, each of us has ninety-nine eggs, and if we had a hundred, we should lay waste the world with all that is in it.'"

The problem is, how shall we prevent the hatching of the hundredth egg? It is our firm belief that, the fears some entertain concerning the Moslems are not to be realized, but that Moslemism, instead, will eventually be converted to Christianity — and in a way that even some of our missionaries never suspect. It is our belief that this will happen not through the direct teaching of Christianity, but through a summoning of the Moslems to a veneration of the Mother of God.

The Bible and the Quaran, byJacques Jomier, Edward P. Arbez
page 122 & 123

Quote:
In 1968 - In Egypt, at the Coptic Orthodox church, an apparition appeared above the church. She was always surrounded by light. It brought together for the first time Christians, Muslims, Jews and Catholics all praying together.

The main messages of the apparitions:
  1. Let the people be united into one religion
  2. Let the people look to Mary as their source of peace, hope and salvation
  3. Let Mary and the Rosary bring unity and peace to the world

During Mohammed's "night journey" (mentioned in post #9) he saw a light over the tomb of Mary.
Musslims built a mihrab on the right side of the tomb to indicate the direction to Mecca.

Islam - Catholic connection

Quote:
In reckoning the future of Islam, Pope Paul takes into account that as a genuinely religious faith, it preserves certain fundamental truths that the Holy Spirit reveals to all people of good will; and that, in God’s providence, Islam can be a threshold from which its adherents can be prepared to accept the only historical revelation made by God in this world. There will come a day, John Paul believes, when the heart of Islam – already attuned to the figures of Christ and of Christ’s Mother, Mary – will receive the illumination it needs.

Quote:
The power of Mary over all devils will be particularly outstanding in the last period of time. She will extend the Kingdom of Christ over the idolators and Moslems, and there will come a glorious era in which Mary will be ruler and queen of human hearts.

- Louis de Montfort (canonized saint)
Call of the Ages, p. 449

Catholic Saint Mary of Agreda – a visionary who received numerous messages from the apparition of Mary during the 17th century – wrote the massive classic entitled Mystical City of God. Her received Marian messages and her monumental book have received full approval from the Roman Catholic Church.
Saint Mary of Agredaconveyed what was told to her about the last times:
Quote:
“Before the Second Coming of Christ, Mary must, more than ever, shine in mercy, might and grace in orderto bring unbelievers into the Catholic Faith. The powers of Mary in the last times over demons will be very conspicuous. Mary will extend the reign of Christ over the heathens and Mohammedans, and it will be a time of great joy when Mary, as Mistress and Queen of Hearts is enthroned.”

In 2004, Reuters News Service wrote, in an article entitled Twist of globalization:
Quote:
All faiths come together, that Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and other pilgrims regularly worship at famous Roman Catholic shrines to the Virgin Mary. They drink holy water, light votive candles, and pray fervently to the Madonna. The article explains that many pilgrims venerate her like one of their own goddesses.
